Additional Information

Under the baton of Maestro Robert Spano, the ASO has consistently featured new music from contemporary composers alongside more standard classical repertoire. In this special presentation, we celebrate perhaps the fullest incarnation of this, the "Atlanta School of Composers," with a program of works commissioned by the ASO from some of the brightest composers to emerge in recent years. Included on the program are works by Brian Nabors, current ASO bassist Michael Kurth, Michael Gandolfi, Emmy Award-winning and Grammy® nominated Adam Schoenberg and Krists Auznieks.

This concert is made possible through the Robert Spano Fund for New Music, established by The Antinori Foundation in honor of Robert Spano.
