Additional Information

During his tenure with the ASO, Robert Spano has been a tireless champion of new music. Under his baton the ASO has consistently featured new music from contemporary composers alongside more standard classical repertoire. Join us as we celebrate perhaps the fullest incarnation of this, the "Atlanta School of Composers," with a program of works commissioned by the ASO from some of the brightest composers to emerge in recent years. Included on the program are works by Pulitzer Prize and Grammy® Award-winner Jennifer Higdon, current ASO bassist Michael Kurth, Michael Gandolfi and Krists Auznieks.
