Hector Berlioz's Symphonie fantastique is considered by many to be one of the most inventive, revolutionary orchestral works of the romantic period. A cinematic odyssey, the symphony depicts the story of a young artist's passionate and unrequited love, taking the listener on a roller coaster of emotions. One of the first works of musical psychedelia, the symphony journeys through a Faustian, hallucinogenic fantasy into the clutches of Hell. This evening of fiery romanticism opens with Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 2, featuring pianist Pedja Mužijević.
