Robert Spano assembles a dream cast of Wagnerian singers along with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Chorus for a special presentation of Wagner's monument to unquenchable love, Tristan und Isolde.
An Olympic feat for vocal performers, this production features Simon O'Neill with "typhoon-force top notes" [The Times] as the heartsick hero, and the incomparable Tamara Wilson, a recent winner of the Richard Tucker Award, as Isolde. The international opera star and Georgia native Jamie Barton (also a Richard Tucker recipient) sings the role of Brangaene.
