Additional Information

Be part of history when the 27-time Grammy® Award-winning Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Music Director Robert Spano assemble an all-star cast for Mahler's Symphony No. 8. The internationally renowned Orchestra and Chorus continue to advance their legacy in the choral repertoire, bringing their singular power to Mahler's monument to spiritual transformation.

More than a century ago, Mahler convened more than a thousand performers onstage to extend his expansive vision of the symphony, animating texts from the medieval hymn "Veni creator spiritus" ("Come, Creator Spirit") and Goethe's Faust.

These concerts will be recorded for an upcoming release on the Atlanta Symphony's award-winning, in-house label ASO Media.
