A long-planned recording of Golijov's ''La Pasión según San Marcos'' has finally been scheduled for release on March 23, 2010. The Deutsche Grammophon set is unusual in that it contains two recordings: a studio version recorded in 2007-08, under conductor María Guinand on two CDs, and a live version from the 2008 Holland Festival under Robert Spano on DVD. Spano, who has become one of Golijov's major champions, led the Boston Symphony Orchestra in the North American premiere of the ''Pasión'' in 2001.
